Why does it appear that people complain more about president Obama rather than when Bush was in office?
Here’s a (incomplete) list of things that Obama has changed so far:
-Reversed restrictions on stem cell research
-Appointed an assistant to the president for science and technology policy
-Created a foreclosure prevention fund for homeowners
-Expanded loan programs for small businesses
-Extended and indexed the 2007 Alternative Minimum Tax patch
-Expanded eligibility for State Children’s Health Insurance Fund (SCHIP)
-Expanded funding to train primary care providers and public health practitioners
-Directed military leaders to end war in Iraq
-Sent two additional brigades to Afghanistan
-As promised gave a speech at a major Islamic forum in the first 100 days of his administration
-Granted Americans unrestricted rights to visit family and send money to Cuba
-Restored funding for the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne/JAG) program
-Released presidential records
-Now requires new hires to sign a form affirming their hiring was not due to political affiliation or contribution.
-Pushed for enactment of Matthew Shepard Act, which expands hate crime law to include sexual orientation-and other factors
-Created White House Office on Urban Policy
-Supported increased funding for the NEA
-Funded a major expansion of AmeriCorps
-Worked to overturn Ledbetter vs. Goodyear
-Banned lobbyist gifts to executive employees
-Pledged to weatherize 1 million homes per year
-Invested in all types of alternative energy
-Enacted tax credit for consumers for plug-in hybrid cars
-Provided grants to encourage energy-efficient building codes
-As promised appointed at least one Republican to the cabinet
-Extended unemployment insurance benefits and temporarily suspended taxes on these benefits.
Bush on the other hand:
-Boosting Aid to Africa Threefold
-Preventing a Nuclear War Between India and Pakistan
-Taking Down the A.Q. Khan Nuclear Proliferation Network
-Getting Libya To Give Up Its WMD Programs And Renounce Terrorism
-Turning Independent-Minded India Into a Strategic Ally
-After a Rough Start, Sticking To a Pragmatic China Policy
-Getting North Korea To Shut Down Its Nuclear Reactor (Eventually)
-Decapitating Al Qaeda’s Top Leadership And Not Having a 2nd 9/11
-Giving Immigration Reform The Old College Try
-Challenging His Party On Harmful Ag Subsidies While Pushing Free Trade
Obama has had 2 years so far.
Bush had 8.
Can someone please explain.
Is this a result of covertly done racism? I’m not black or white so don’t even pull the racist card. I’m an educated American.
This is not an implication of racism just a simple question. Questions are meant to be answered not argued. If you can’t answer it then don’t!

People expected so much from Obama, and they are not satisifed with what he is doing. He promiced america more than he can handle so people are disappointed. We are also ina time of a bad economy, bush didn’t have to go through that. Obama promiced to fix the economy, an unrealistic promice, which so far he hasn’t even changed it a bit. I am like you and take no sides, I just evaluate the facts.

Lets see for starters, Obama has the Dow over 15000 and growing, It was 8600 and dropping like a rock under Bush.
We now have Health care and if you get sick you won’t get denied coverage if you have a preexisting condition. And many more great things.
Bush raised the Debt Ceiling again due to Two wars, and what about the Bank Bail out with no strings attached, 250 Billion Gone, where did that money go?
My question what did Bush do for the Economy in the USA during his Presidential years {8}

This shows the quality of Obama. He has more patience than Bush. Today this world need people like Obama having patience and love for peace.
